Welcome to our next edition of the Baltimore Book Festival (BBF) (September 25th-27th) author spotlight.

In this edition, Kira presents … Nancy WeeksNancy Weeks Author Photo

Nancy is a member of the Maryland Romance Writers group (@marylandromance) and a local Maryland writer. She specializes in Romantic Suspense, hot heroes and kick-butt heroines.

In her series, Shadows and Light, (In the Shadow of Greed, In the Shadow of Evil, In the Shadow of Malice, In the Shadow of Pride, In the Shadow of Vengeance) you meet the McNeil family.

~ Meet five Irish brothers, all sworn to protect and serve – and the smart women who help them take down the terrorists gunning for their family. Lock up your heart: when it comes to love, the sexy McNeils know how to walk this beat. ~

No kidding! *fans self*
Just when you fall for one brother, another comes along to steal your heart away.

Shadows and Light The Complete Series

Now Toni and I have introduced you to Nancy and her amazing characters before, even the villains. In fact, she brought her villains, who don’t think they are bad guys at all (Oh YES they are), to visit our blog recently. Read the interview here, and decide for yourself.

And make sure you have you’re running shoes on.

The best part of Nancy’s books are the sweet romances and she firmly believes in giving her characters a happily ever after. Even if she does make them work for it. The Shadow and Light series is full of suspense, tension and hot heroes. Passions simmer and flare, in and out of the bedroom, and like real siblings the McNeil brother’s don’t always agree. (Coming from a large family myself, I really loved this aspect of the series.)

I can’t say I have a favorite book, I really do love them all, but if I had to choose, a certain Special-Agent-In-Charge, Luke “Mac” McNeil, definitely holds a special place in the hot heroes department. His flash-point temper is no match for fiery Lexie Trevena’s no-nonsense fighting spirit. Together they make sparks and I still feel the burn from that hot read. Check out our review here.

Want to read more from Nancy? You’re in luck. On November 9th, 2015 she has a new release coming out. A 4-Book Anthology with Crimson Romance called Modern Magic: A Quartet of Fractured Fairy Tales.

Come meet Nancy at her panel – Get Their Pulses Pounding: Pacing The Romantic Suspense Novel – on Saturday, September 26th from 4 pm – 5 pm at the Maryland Romance Writers tent (see MAP).

I asked Nancy what she is looking forward to most at BBF.
“I love interacting with readers!! It is such a thrill to talk to them and learn what they love about reading. I also love the panel discussions. It’s like a mini conference and I walk away charged with new energy to write.”

And what is reading without desert! Here’s Nancy’s (with a recipe no less – YUM!): Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Fudge Icing.

Kira Decker 2

Hope to see you at the festival!

Who is Kira Decker? Author of Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy with a Supernatural Twist Alter Ego of Toni Decker Telling one Paranormal story after another about Young Adults/New Adults getting along in their own crazy, fantastical worlds. One-half of the brain is an avid reader of all things Paranormal, while the other half devours Fantasy for midnight snacks. Together, Kira's stories are one part Paranormal, one part Fantasy, and two parts Supernatural. As a kid, Kira loved reading books about the strange and unusual found in everyday life. The experiences you couldn't quite explain unless you got creative. One day she decided to give voice to all those characters in her head relating their supernatural adventures, all while laughing, crying, and cheering for a happy ending at the end of the journey. I adore the ride my characters take me on and I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I love writing them.
